A Quarter of Gay and Bisexual Men in the UK Support Nigel Farage's Party

A recent poll revealed that 25% of gay and bisexual men in the UK support Nigel Farage’s “Reform UK” party . According to research group More in Common, “Reform UK” is now the most popular political force among this group of voters. Their closest competitors are the Green Party (19%) and the Labour Party (18%).

The survey was conducted at the end of 2025 among nearly 9,000 residents of England, Wales, and Scotland. “Reform UK” leads not only among gay and bisexual men but also among heterosexual voters of both sexes. Farage’s party is supported by 33% of heterosexual men and 29% of heterosexual women. The only demographic that largely opposes “Reform UK” is lesbian and bisexual women: only 12% plan to vote for Farage’s party, while 37% favor the Greens.

“Reform UK” voters among gay and bisexual men also show a high willingness to participate in the elections. 59% stated they are “certain to vote.” For comparison, this figure is 53% among heterosexual men and 50% among heterosexual women.

Nigel Farage, the party leader, previously stated that “the most stable relationships tend to be between men and women” and criticized the Conservative Party for legalizing same-sex marriage without including it in their election manifesto. However, this does not deter a portion of gay voters. Darren Grimes, the party’s deputy leader in Durham County and an openly gay man, responded to criticism from LGBT activists by claiming that there are “more gays in ‘Reform UK’ than in London’s Heaven nightclub.”
