On October 15, 2026, Naruemit Pride, the company behind Bangkok Pride, presented the Thai capital’s proposed programme for the international LGBT festival WorldPride 2030. The launch took place at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, as confirmed by Thailand’s Department of Women’s Affairs and Family Development.

According to Matichon’s October 16 report, preparations involve Pride City Network, which brings together 58 cities across Thailand. The bid is supported by a working group established by order of the prime minister, comprising agencies from 13 ministries. This is support for preparing the bid, rather than an announcement that the host city has been selected.

The official bid website proposes a human rights forum at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center and a Pride Interfaith programme. The latter explores the relationship between faith and identity, inviting LGBT participants of different religions and beliefs to share personal experiences and take part in creative workshops, discussions and spiritual practices.

Under the plan published by Matichon, the organisers propose at least 150 Bangkok WorldPride Activist Fellowships. At least 70% would go to activists from Global South countries. The proposed programme runs for 14 days, from January 23 to February 5, 2030, and also includes a parade, cultural events and sport. These plans depend on the bid winning.

InterPride, the international association of Pride organisers, is publishing bids from Bangkok and Barcelona. WorldPride is held under its licence, with member organisations voting to select the host city. As of October 24, the result of the competition for 2030 had not yet been announced.
