Former aide to a US Senate candidate who calls himself a ‘twink fascist’ posted satirical Nazi images

A former staffer for Republican congressman and Georgia US Senate candidate Mike Collins posted images involving a swastika and Ku Klux Klan robes in June and July 2026. The Washington Post reported the findings on August 27 after examining the X account of 24-year-old political consultant Preston Parra.

Parra interned in Collins’s congressional office from August to October 2024 and later spent several months as a contractor for his political committee, Overhaul PAC. According to the Daily Mail , the committee paid Parra’s firm $7,700 for fundraising consulting in May 2025. The disputed posts appeared more than a year after that work ended.

Until August 24, Parra described himself in his profile as a “twink fascist.” One image was a swastika formed from the word twink, a term used in gay culture for a young, slim man. Another depicted Parra in KKK robes. He said he made that scene with the Grok AI service and described his posts as satire and provocation. Parra denied being a white supremacist, although he told the newspaper that he believed “the white race contributes more to the world.” CNN also reported his explanation that the material was satirical.

A spokesperson for Collins’s campaign said Parra is not currently affiliated with either the congressman’s office or his campaign. The campaign called the posts “vile” and “completely unhinged” and said Collins unequivocally condemned them. Democratic incumbent Senator Jon Ossoff, Collins’s opponent in November, demanded the release of communications between the Republican’s office, Parra and other people accused of racist or antisemitic speech. Georgia Public Broadcasting reported both positions.

Collins is the Republican nominee in Georgia’s US Senate election. Parra is not part of his current team, so the uncovered posts concern a former intern and contractor rather than a serving campaign representative.
