Protocol on "LGBT Propaganda" Filed Against Moscow Community Center for LGBT+ Director Olga Baranova

In Moscow, a magistrate judge has received an administrative protocol under the article on “LGBT propaganda” (Part 3 of Article 6.21 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation) against Olga Baranova, the program director of the Moscow Community Center for LGBT+ Initiatives (MCC). According to Parni+ , the court hearing is scheduled for July 8.
Information about which specific agency initiated the case is not disclosed on the court’s website. Such protocols can be drawn up by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the prosecutor’s office, or Roskomnadzor.
In late April 2026, a court recognized the MCC as an “extremist” organization following a lawsuit by the Russian Ministry of Justice. The center is currently appealing this decision, so the organization has not yet been included in the official registry of extremists. It is noted that this is the first protocol against Baranova following the court’s decision to designate the center as extremist.
